Hi, I am currently working in a clinic and I absolutley hate every bit of it! I graduated at the end of 2011. I got hired before graduating at an urgent care clinic and I worked there until December of 2012. I made the biggest mistake of leaving that job for another clinic job where I now work with Pediatrics. Well, to say the least I made a huge mistake! I was just so stressed out and tired of seeing over a hundred people a day at tje urgent care clinic that I just took whatever job came up next. Well now I find myself doing exactly what I hated in the first place...rooming patient after patient so the doctor can get his or her quality time with them. Well I want my quality time with patients and I have an absolute passion for the elderly. The experiences and stories they have to tell just amaze me. Well, I guess my question is what to do next. I would love to get started in geriatric nursing, preferrably though homehealth. I just don't know what to do next.

So whatcha waiting for?...go apply for a home health position!!! I started in a home health case management position in Dec 2012, they offered 90 days orientation period and lots of computer training, so far so good for me. I too have a soft spot for the geriatric population, what a great group to work with, very rewarding. No better time like the present, do what you love, love what you do. Good luck to you!!!
