Now that the Covid 19 vaccine is just around the corner... Will it be mandatory?
No scaremongering or knowledge deficit here, my choice to take the vaccine or not is my decision based on my research. You are entitled to interruption of the information and so am I, no need to throw condescending insults at others. I am here to only read, comment and learn...NOT to convince anyone or force my opinions...you know what they say about opinions, right??? The new mRNA technology directly injects the genes for the spike proteins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus into healthy cells to induce an immune response. My cells are my DNA!...DUH! The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is based on an RNA-LNP platform of nucleoside-modified RNA, which has blunted innate immune sensor activating capacity and thus augmented antigen expression. Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, BNT162b2 (30 μg), encodes a P2 mutant S (P2 S) and is formulated in LNPs. Encapsulation into LNPs enables transfection of the RNA into host cells after intramuscular (IM) injection. These LNPs are composed of four different lipids in a defined ratio. During mixing of the RNA and the dissolved lipids, the lipids form the nanoparticles encapsulating the RNA. After injection, the LNPs are taken up by the cells, and the RNA is released into the cytosol. https://www.fda.gov/media/144246/download

I will not be taking their genetically modified, experimental vaccine that invades my DNA!

So excited!!!
Hello all, so excited, wanted to share and needing some input from my nursing community. I was just offered my dream job in as a clinical documentation specialist at my local hospital and will start at the end of this month. Needless to say, I am thrilled beyond belief, but a little nervous, as I am new to this field. So my question is, what type of training should I expect for this position, any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Jobless in the land of Medicine
That is extremely sad, 28 years of experience and knowledge, who wouldn't jump at the chance to hire someone with that under their belt. I would suggest home health or PDN, they are always hiring or maybe a shot clinic, it is that time of year...I wish you well, good luck.

Lipids at night
Also in the evening at my previous hospital, I was curious, so here's what I found...TPN can run over shorter time periods, such as 12, 14, 16 or 20 hours. Each time period is called a "cycle." Usually, the cycle is started in the evening so that the TPN can be given while the patient is sleeping. By doing this, your patient’s cycle will end sometime during the day. This will allow your patient to be flushed and clamped part of the day while he or she is still awake.

change of vocation and not sure of terminology?
Are you referring to levels of care as in primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary care?
