Dear Ms. ____,

As a recent nursing graduate of _______ College, I am highly interested in pursuing a career with ______. I am enclosing a copy of my resume, for your review.

In June 2010 I received my Associate's Degree in Nursing from ____________. In July 2010 I received my Registered Nurse License from the state of Ohio. I am also scheduled to take an ACLS course in October of 2010. My healthcare experience includes working as a Home Health Aide for the last year and a half. In August 2010 my employer promoted me from a Home Health Aide to Home Health Nurse position. While I am very happy in my current position and have learned a great deal in a short period of time, the Seasonal Med/Surg Registered Nurse position posted on _____ website sounds like a fantastic opportunity.

Through past jobs and clinical experiences, I would consider myself very customer service oriented and focused on the needs of those in my care. Although, I'm sure, I do not have as much experience as many of the other applicants; I'm a highly motivated individual who is eager to learn.

I welcome the opportunity to speak with you at your convenience to discuss your current and future needs, and how I may be able to serve them. You may reach me at

ph #. I look forward to your call. Thank you for your kind attention and consideration.

Sincerely,

Thank You!!! Let me know what you think. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

C- I would try to keep it as short as possible (maybe 3 paragraphs max) and take out the sentence beginning with "Although" and ending with applicants" but leave the part about being eager. Just my 2 cents. :-) -J

Thanks! I'm going to mail it in today. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck!!!

It's fun having you to talk to on here. I should have joined a long time ago. I often looked on this site during school!
