Hello! I am writing because I have no idea right now.. my father ( who is residing in CA) wants me to take nclex but i am residing here in PH, got my license since 2010.

What to do first? I don't have SSN IELTS CGFNS yet. I know its not easy and it involves a lot of money. Please guide me.

Thank you in advance.

Starting point would be deciding on which state to apply to. You can't apply to CA without a US SSN and you can't get that without a valid work/immigrant visa.

Thank you silverdragon.

He said he will get me an employer in CA for me to get a visa. Can i take nclex that doesn't require SSN first?and then have it endorse to CA if God permits?

Endorsing may be an issue but a lot will depend on when you qualified and whether affected by the concurrency issues. What sort of visa are you hoping to get? If immigrant which for nurses is EB3 then looking at 4 year wait if born in the Philippines and in California where more nurses than jobs exist then finding employer willing to wait will be difficult

Yes sir/ma'am. I wish to have an EB3 immigrant visa so I can take my family with me.. what is better? I am a bedside nurse at the same time finishing my MSN. My father said he already asked his buddy, who luckily owns a homecare, to help me for the sponsorship. Any insights regarding this?

Your need a employer and they need to file your immigration application. They have to pay all fees and they probably need to speak to immigration lawyers to make sure on cost and filing. Then keep an eye on EB3 status/bulletin for how long you have to wait. Done on place of birth

Thank you so much Silverdragon for the fast reply. You really are enlightening us newbies! I will keep you updated! :)
