Advice

Hi, I'm currently a year 2 nursing student doing my bsn. Today was really sad for me because I just had my practical test for infant bathing, and I just found out that I failed, and that I might have to go for reassessment. I feel like I'm stuck in a slump because I generally enjoy studying the subjects in my degree, but when it comes to practical skills, I will fail and have to keep going for reassessment.

I wish it wasn't much of a self-fulfilling prophecy for me. I did sign a bond, and will work in a medical ward once i'm done with my bsn. I just want to know if you guys have any tips, and any encouraging stories for me. I feel really disappointed in myself and day in and day out. I keep telling myself i'm not made for this, but at the same i enjoy communicating with patients and making them feel better. help :(

best_fiction,

Don't worry if you didn't pass, it's really not a big deal and you're not the first person who has failed a skill before, believe it or not. I know it sucks to fail it, but maybe try watching videos on YouTube about that specific skill you're having trouble mastering. That's what I'm doing for CNA skills test(and clinicals). Good luck! You'll do fine!
