Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me!
I am currently in my second year of working in a 24 bed pediatric stepdown unit, but I am looking to move to Melbourne. I have heard many amazing things about living, working and the high quality of life there. I was hoping I could receive some information not about licensure, but about the different hospitals/ staffing ratios/ salaries. Through talking to a friend in Melbourne I hear Royal Children's is the largest hospital, and Austin has a pediatrics ward.
I also understand that there are no respiratory therapists, nursing assistants, and premixed medication. How does this change the course of your day in nursing?
Has anyone in Melbourne had an American nurse work with them or have any insight they can share?
Thanks again!
