I have not received notification about acceptance or rejection into my desired nursing program but I have a very possible opportunity to work 16-24 hrs a week as a patient care assistant at one of the local hospitals. It would be in Critical Care and they are interested in hiring me with the awareness that I will probably be starting ns this Spring.
Here's the question: does the experience of getting valuable hands on experience and a foot in the door at a hospital make it worth the time you lose from studying while a new nursing student? I do not have to work right away but think the experience could be crucial now and in the future, when it is time to be hired at as an RN.
Your thoughts would be so helpful.

Yes, as long as you retain enough study time.
