Hi please can someone help me or point me in the right direction. I'm currently working as an agency RN nurse (emergency dept) but worked full time for 5 years. I also work as a flight attendant during the summer months so have a working visa but I'm clueless would this visa just be to my airline for eg I couldn't use it for any other job, right? I really want to move to Orlando and continue my nursing career but I don't know where to start regarding exams visa sponsor!

any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Rebecca

Starting point would be getting your RN registration sorted. If you go to the BON website, links found at the bottom of the page, and read up on requirements for International nurse you generally need CES report or other acceptable agency report which is a breakdown on transcripts and once the report is sent to the BON then you submit application and fees to the BON. Process is long and until you have that sorted and you have passed NCLEX will employers look at you in regards sponsorship.

Also suggest checking out the various threads in the Nurse Registration forum re UK trained meeting US requirements as some are missing both clinical and theory hours in Paeds and/or Obstetrics.

Be prepared for a long and sometimes painful process whilst you sort out transcripts and trying to find employer willing to sponsor you but if determined you should see some light at the end of the tunnel
