Advice for a New Grad Nurse in Home Health!

Hello all! I am a new nurse beginning a home health position soon. Earlier this Winter, I began my RN career in the hospital setting, and quickly found that it was not a good fit for me–I quit after a few months. After a lot of deliberation, taking a few months to figure out my next steps, a cross country move, and multiple job offers, I have finally accepted a home health position! I am thrilled to begin as this agency has awesome nurses, flexibility, and opportunities to accelerate my career.

My position will mainly be centered around post-op/wound care and LOTS of education. My hours will be within the range of 9-5, Monday-Friday (LOVE these hours) and they have the resources to ensure that I will only be in surrounding zip codes.

I am looking for insight from anyone of any occupation in the home health field (other RN's, LPN's, CNA's, therapists) any advice that I can take with me. Thank you in advance!! ?
