Advice needed very much. Community college or University?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give me some advice in what should do. I applied to 3 universities and did not get in this year. My gpa is a 3.46, my pre reqs is a 3.2 I have about 600 hrs of community service, not taking any ap courses. At this rate, I feel like im not a competitive student. So should I just apply to a community college and start in Jan of 2014 or should I take a year off and apply abd if I get lucky I'll get accepted. If I take a yr off, I was plannibg to work as a cna.

I have talked to advisor and they really havent been much of a help. What do u guys think?

I am waitlisted at my local community college as a backup. In the mean time I am taking the prereqs I will need for a BSN program if I am able to get in. From my limited experience in our area, our community college produces great nurses with great faculty support. I would prefer to do the BSN program to just get it done but I love the security of knowing that even if I don't get it I will still become a nurse. Good Luck!

So if u get into the community college, and decides to go, will u still be continuing to apply to a bsn?
