Hi all,
I just want to ask you all if what advice can you give me regarding an online review, Iam thinking about Hurst or NCSBN which I always hear good things from the Nclex forum, does anyone knows which one has more in-depth review on delegation, prioritization and pt teaching? These are the questions I have been bombarded from my previous board exams. I am thinking to retake my Nclex-PN in a couple of months or less, this is my third time taking it and am just very helpless. Dunno what's wrong with me for keep failin them, Iam getting fears now of taking it again as I always think I will just fail it again, any suggestions on a study plan I should changed? Any feedback on this and any other materials or advice I should do and try is highly appreciated. Thanks.

I used NCSBN and I passed NCLEX-PN on my first try with 85 questions. I'm not sure if this made a huge difference, because my school has a 100 % NCLEX first time pass rate for several years running, but it certainly didn't hurt. It did have a lot of priority questions. I bought the shortest term (3 weeks) however, I was just out of school when I purchased it. I graduated and took my NCLEX all within 3 weeks. It gives loads of review information, and numerous tests. I'll admit that I didn't do all the review pages, choosing instead to only concentrate on those areas where I fell below 80% on pre-test. I don't know anything about the Hurst Review, so I can't compare the two, but I'm a firm believer in NCSBN. Good luck.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate your insight on this. People says Hurst is good and others says NCSBN is too, I just wish I have money for both so I can try both of them. I guess I will just decide on one plus the Saunders book and hope I can do it this time after trying it twice. Thanks again. Take care.

hey,
i dont know if this will make you feel any better but i failed my nlex 4 times already and im in the exact same stage as you(well as far as giving up goes) i dont know what to do anymore, its going to be a year since i graduated nursing school. Which was a breeze for me.But everytime i take that test i think i do so well but i end up not passing. Theirs ppl i know that took the test that i went to school with that berly passed nursing school and they ended up doing great on the nclex. But i dont know what to do. I feel like giving up.Did you find out if there were any good sites? maybe you could help me out as well because at this point i dont know what to do. They've also changed the test since april of 2005 where you could only take it 4 times a year every 90 days. But before that you could take it up to 8 times every 45 days. So i have to wait til december to re test which really sucks. But in the mean time will you let me know if you find any good studying sources. I have both the saunders books. And by the way good luck and please let me know how your next test goes. I wish you pass!
