advice for those getting ready to take the NCLEX...

I passed yesterday with 75 questions. I took 2 1/2 hours because I thought about each answer very carefully.

Know your meds and lab values, and pratice lots of questions!

And the most important advise is to relax. I did not study the day before. I went to the beach for the day and did some kayaking and of course did a bit of nervous crying to get it all out.

I did take the Kaplan course, but frankly the only real tool I used was to read each anwser and think about what each one means...re teh outcome.

Remember, you can take it again if you had to!

how many practice questions did u do?? im at about 2000 now adn my test is next tue...i will continue wit the questions till tue morn probably...also, u know how in the kaplan course they "teach" u how to answer the questions..using the decision tree...did u use that when answering?? i find it very hard for me to think that way while answering...

great question. i find that i try to apply these strategies with other sources (other review cd's) and they don't work. i do agree that reading and studying the rationales are the way to go-it helps with content ;)
