Hi eveyone,

I have been considering getting the new flumist nasal vaccine because flushots are unavailable in chicago. I am starting CNA classes in Jan. and a very hectic schedule, and I just don't want to get sick. The more precautions I can take the better!:p Has anyone had this new vaccine? Do you think that it is more likely to actually give you the flu since it's made from a weakend live vaccine? Just wanted some proffessional opinions:D ! Thanks, Louisepug:nurse:

I so much appreciate Dr. Mercola's point-of-view! Not that I always agree, but it is thought-provoking:

Personally, I would NOT have this vaccine.

In a local hospital in my area nurses who got the flumist were told to stay out of work for two weeks since the virus can be shed. Of course this was only told to them after the fact. I wouldn't go anywhere near the flumist!!

Wow! Doesn't sound too good! Thanks for the helpful advice!
