Hi, i was wondering if anyone was put in advanced placement in an LPN program? I attended a RN school for a year, so I have all my pre-req's done and Nursing 101 done. I had to drop out for personal reason's. Now I plan on attending a LPN school. I want to transfer a few of my credits like anatomy & phys and pharmacology. DOes anyone know what they might make me do or if i'll have to take a test or will they just accept my credits w/o me having to do anything ???

Hi--congrats on deciding to get back into the program!! I think that all schools have their own rules...mine allows general credits (A&P, etc.) to be five years old but for core courses (Pharm, Fundamentals, Skills, etc.) they will go back two years at most. I'd say check with your counselor to avoid the speculation and worry. Best of luck!! :)

I had one girl who attended an RN program for a year she did not have to do LPN 101 however she did have to start when we began our clinical rotations. However even tho she had been in the RN program for a year she had not started any clinical rotations yet. But apparently thats because our LPN program has more clinical hours than any other school in the state..eww
In the end it will end up what the school wants to accept!
Good Luck!
