I recently accepted a ADON position at an Assisted Living Facility. I worked years in Hospital, Home Health and LTC. None of which was supervisor experience beside charge nursing. Im a little bit nervous about my role.
For any ADON's out there what was your experience in the role? Tell me the good/bad and the ugly?
As a DON or Staff what do you expect from the ADON?
I also feel a little intimated being that I am the youngest out of all of my colleagues. The facility has CMA's and LPN's that manage the med pass. Two RN's in the building would include myself and the DON.
