I'm on my way to finishing up my pre-reqs. Hopefully by next summer and then ready to apply to schools in the SD area.
I read about the trend of hospitals moving towards requiring BSN of their nurses but was wondering if anyone knew if that is the trend in the area.
THE ABSN program is pretty expensive and know you can get your ADN and then do a step up program while working. Sometimes, employers will help out with that cost.
Any insight would be great.

Southern California is saturated with new graduates, so the higher degree would probably be more beneficial if you want to stay in that area. What kind of nursing you'd like to get into also makes a difference. SNF is probably less competitive than acute care. Med/surg is probably less competitive than NICU.
