Does anyone have information on the assosciate degree RN to Nurse Practitioner progams? All I know is that you need your RN. But what other criteria do you need? I would ask the school but I would rather here it from someone who has applied, knows someone in the program, etc.

I went through Graceland University outreach program. You take a few extra classes to finish your BSN but less clinical tim because you go on to FNP which has alot of time. I really liked it and it is even better now than when I went.

I tell you what I am SO GLAD I found this site. You guys are giving me so much information to check into. THANK YOU!!! :)

Do you have to work for a certain amount of time before the program or can you start it right after one graduates?

I got an info packet from Graceland today, it says it "recommends" 2 years experience. Not sure about other places.

Specializes in ED, Tele, Psych.

got a link to Graceland? are there other programs out there?

How is the Program? I am extremely interested in this program: just would like current or past student perspectives.

Walden University has an online RN (ADN)-MSN in both adult gerontology and family practice. ANCC & CCNE approved. They don't place you with a preceptor for the clinical hours. I don't believe that many schools do.
