ADN Nursing Program At CTC

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am a student at Columbus Technical College. I am applying for the ADN Program September 1, 2014. Packets are not due until October. I just have to take the NLN exam which I take in August. I am super NERVOUS every time I take a practice exam I score at least an 87%. Passing is only with in the 75% percentile. I am sure I will do well if I study which I will. I have done Biology A&P I and A&P II College Algebra, Humanities, English and Speech, I received A's in all those class. My lowest grade is a B in my labs. Now that I am so close to getting in I was wondering has anyone else been through the program? Any advice on surviving the insane cost of text books? ($1500) or where you guys got your uniforms from? I would definitely appreciate any feedback or advice you have to offer.

Thanks a bunch!

I passed the PAX Test and I am turning in my packet! I Out of the twelve pre requisites I nine A's and three B's

Congrats on passing the NLN! I'm a student at CTC and am applying for ADN this fall also. I'm so ready to turn this packet in next week and at least start the waiting process. I'm excited and hoping to get in! Good Luck To Everyone! December seems so far away!

Thank you I wish I had a time machine! This waiting game is going to be so nerve racking. Best of luck to you as well. The hard part is over

I started with the Fall ADN 2014 cohort. I am almost through fundamentals and my first round of clinical rotations. It moves really fast but I really enjoy it. The books are usually available during your orientation from the senior class that wants to get rid of a few extra books that they do not want to hang onto. We order all of CTC nursing program uniforms from Mearidys Uniforms and you have to have a code # (provided at orientation) to purchase things that they require as well as suggest. There are usually a few "whites" for sale by Seniors as well so you may get lucky and not end up paying full price for those. You will be required to purchase a lab bag filled with nursing items for practice skills labs (IV, foleys, sterile dressings, enemas, etc). A website and code will also be given to you at orientation for that stuff as well. If you get an acceptance letter you will have a great support system form your senior class (me and my new nursing family) as well as the instructors. If you know of anyone with an LPN degree that is looking for a bridge program they have just started that program back. Good luck to all of you

I apologize for asking but approximately how much did it cost? Did they allow you to use your PELL grant if you had one. Iam just making sure before we spend and arm and a leg during the holidays. By the way congrats on making it through I know I would be so escatic. I am really happy for you. And thanks for answering my question.

Does anyone know what they will be using for ranking? I know compass scores but what else? Time is winding down and I'm getting excited. Will we get a phone call first or letter?

Dorekenn they have a estimated cost for CTC adn on the website. Go to the nursing program link and it will show estimated cost per semester. And i think you are able to use Pell (I sure hope so because that was my plan) I know there will be out of pocket expenses but I want Pell to at least cover my tuition.

Compass scores and grades in the pre requisite courses. I also don't think many people applied to the program. There also a lot people not passing microbiology this semester too.
