New Grad in Los Angeles with an ADN and a Bachelor's in an unrelated subject here. I just graduated in December, and want to continue asap with my education. I've also noticed that the job market here is rough for ADNs, so I'm trying to start a program asap because I think it will allow me to qualify to work in a Magnet facility. My head is spinning from all the program options out there...every one seems to have different requirements. I met with one school last week where they told me it would take five years to get my NP, which is crazy! I could go to medical school and graduate in less time!
This is a second career for me, and I have a family, so I'm looking to find a good program that isn't going to land me in a world of debt, which I can finish in three years. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Everything I've searched on this topic on this board is from four years ago, and might not be current. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
