ADN with healthcare admin degree

Published

Hey y'all

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday. I have been meaning to post my concerns and worries about going into nursing school for long time. I have been wanting to go to nursing school for so long, I was even in a nursing school for three semester, but i had to go back home due to family emergency. When I came back, nursing school policies have changed and was difficult to get back in. So, I went back to school to earn a healthcare admin degree (Bsc.). My heart is still focused on becoming a nurse. My science classes were expired and I retook them all over again.

My concern in going forward is that I dont want to go back to school for too many years without working. I really want to start working, so I am debating with myself whether I should do ADN or BSN? I feel like My Health Admin degree with ADN will be equivalent to BSN. But I dont know. I dont want to be jobless at the end. Right now I am preparing to take the teas test hoping to start school in may.

Please help me decide!!!!

Unfortunately, there is no 'equivalent' to BSN, either you have it or you don't. Go for ABSN, or perhaps you can find an employer who will take you with ADN while you work on BSN.
