ADN Fall 2019 Central Carolina Community College CCCC

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I was recently accepted into the ADN program for Fall 2019 and I was wondering who out there has accepted their seat? Look forward to hearing from you.

@rn2019sb I’m so glad you are somewhere else that is much better! Me and another student from the fall 2019 class are in the same program! And it is sooo much better! Wishing you nothing but the best, we will be nurses in no time! Happy New Year as well!

After completing your prerequisites, how did you have to wait long on a waitlist?

I was never on the waitlist. I would ask the nursing coordinator a time estimate of when you would hear back.

Oh wow! I’m currently enrolled at Wake Tech and the waitlist is very long and I’m concerned about not getting into the program after being done with my prerequisites. I’m starting to think that the LPN route might be best for me considering the time. But if I can get into an ADN program without being waitlisted that would be great. A nurse who graduated from there said that it was really competitive and hard to get into so I never considered Central Carolina.

I absolutely do not recommend Central Carolina, and think that it would be a waste of your time. Their LPN program is good though.  Wake tech is a great school.

Hey,

Central Carolina’s LPN program is great! The instructors actually care and teach you. Also, they truly want you to succeed and aren’t out to make you fail. I would 100% recommend the program. I have had many friends go through and learn ALOT and become GREAT nurses. I think you should go for it!

I may consider their LPN program. I’m thinking that the PN route is faster and would ensure that I’m not waitlisted. The only distasteful thing is that I’ll have to bridge twice. LPN >RN>BSN. Wake tech is an amazing school but I cannot wait on the wait list for as long as it is. It’s so sad how this is a problem nationwide with the shortage of nursing.

I agree. I considered the same before I applied to Wilson community college program. It is definitely worth it, what’s for you will be for you. As long as you get there, that’s all that matters

Kera,

Thank you for saying that! I’ve battled this for too long now and I’m ready to just get to it and be able to run through a program completely without having to be waitlisted for years at a time.
