ADN to BSN

I will soon be graduating from an ADN program and am looking into eventually going for my BSN. Does anyone have advice on whether this would be beneficial or not? In the hospital where I have completed my clinicals, many of the nurses who I've talked to have seen little compensation for obtaining their BSN so I am kind of confused on what I should do. Any suggestions or advice?

I have a friend who is an RN and works for an eye clinic, she went back and got her BSN at night online, she said she did this as it would open up more options for her to get into management.
