If you do a search of this site you will find a lot of threads on this subject as it is discussed often.
If you can swing it, a BSN is probably the best route as it will likely open more doors in the long run. That said, both ADN and BSN are the same RN certifications, and the pay about the same.
In Kentucky, the ADN is equal to the BSN except for some small things, like being a nurse manager, etc. But, my advisor got her ADN from the same college I attend now, and went through the University of Phoenix to get her BSN, which the college accepted, if I'm not mistaken, she's working on her MSN through them, too. Really, it depends on what you ultimatly want to do. I've thought about trying to do NP, but the Frontier Nursing School in KY does a bridge program to "replace" the BSN part. I'd talk to my advisor and check into what specialties I really want to do and see what the requirements are.

Hi All,
I am confused about what I should do. I am currently attending Riverside Community College and I was wondering would it be best to get my ADN from RCC or should I transfer to CSUSB and get my BSN.
Please Help:o
