Have you looked at the CSUs?
Most programs are going to require that you start at the beginning, and it will likely be very difficult to make a case otherwise. I don't know the circumstances under which you were excused from the other program, but that will likely be a factor in your acceptance into a new program. Also, be aware that each program sets their courses up differently, which is part of the reason you'll likely have to start at the beginning. I doubt that your age is really a factor, as nursing is really NOT an area where people are judged negatively by their age (unless they're very young, in which case you may see that).

Hi! I'm a 44y/o male currently looking to apply to ADN or BSN programs in S.F. CA or Orlando FL. I have just begun the search for schools after taking two years of "mental recovery" from being excused from a program in Oakland, CA. I'm bumping into aged classes, as well as, schools not interested in someone who has been excused from a previous program. I am hoping someone may have school suggestions that won't include retaking classes as well as applying to a private school thats going to break the bank.
Also, I have found a program at Remington College in Orlando. How do I make sure this school is on the up and up and will provide me with the necessary education to pass the NCLEX?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!
