Hi everyone! I am currently in the process of writing my personal statement for the nursing program at my school. However, I am a bit confused. One of the questions we are asked is, "what qualities do you believe to be most necessary to be an effective nurse?" The other question asks, "what personal qualities do you possess which makes you an effective nurse?" The reason why I am confused is that I am wondering if I should write a new set of qualities to discuss my personal qualities.
For example, if I were to put nurses should be compassionate, empathetic, etc in the first question. What should I put for the second question asking about my personal qualities? Should I say, "I believe I possess all of these qualities" then expound on each quality?
Sorry if all this sounds confusing. I just really want to submit a great essay. Thanks in advance! :)

I think the point is exactly as you said. You know, explain what you believe to be true in theory and elaborate how you personally fit into that picture, be it positive or constructive.
Good luck with the essay!

I would do just that. If you have extra words or if it isn't too long, you can also add other traits that you have to show you have the most necessary traits and more.
