Admission into Accelerated BSN at UMDNJ for Summer 2012

I've applied for the ABSN program at UMDNJ since the deadline (Feb 3rd) . I'm still waiting for an answer... anyone got into the program yet?

Nope, still waiting to hear back as well. Got accepted to Felician, but they want a decision by March 15th or else they give your spot away. I called UMDNJ and they just said that my application had not yet been reviewed and that a decision would be available by the end of March. I have a cum. 3.74 GPA (4.0 in all pre-reqs) but my professional resume is pretty unimpressive. Wonder if that is hurting me, because I am otherwise an excellent candidate. Ugh, this wait is killing me!

Sigh, still waiting over here. I called last week and Ali suggested that he would prompt the admissions group to prioritize a decision on my application, but still nothing. I know that rutgers still hasn't released most of their decisions, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Perhaps there are a lot of candidates holding onto their acceptance letters and waiting to hear from rutgers before informing umdnj of their decisions. I feel so demoralized, but at least I have my back up school ready to go, one way or another I'm going to nursing school in may! Lol.

I think you will get in; they are a bit slow. I am in Level one now and I know that they have less than 35 students for Summer 2012 (FT program). In my class now, we have over 50 students going to level 2. Hope this help to soothe your nerves.

I finally got my acceptance letter yesterday, it was dated 4/3. I'm asking for a deferment till September though. Didn't realize that the May cohort would begin in April, before my current classes finish!

For those of you who started the ABSN program at umdnj, what advice canyon give those who are starting the program in the fall? I am super nervous!!!

Are you able to apply while currently completing your prereqs? I will done before the program starts but not before the application deadline
