Are there additional requirements that an RN must meet in order to practice in other areas of nursing(Besides the hospital)????

This is dependent on the unit you work on. All RN's are required to have BLS. Some are required to have ACLS. To work on a telemetry unit, you must take a class and or pass a test on rhythms. To work in critical care, some hospitals require a critical care class along with an oreintation period. Many hospitals require a nursing drug calculation test to ensure that medications are given safely.
