  1. Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology
  2. Yes it will help you land a job and specialize. Unless you want to do floor nursing it wont necessarily benefit you
  3. You probably heard GABS. (Gait and balance scale...)
  4. NP so I can specialize in Cardiopulmonary rehab. I already have a bachelors science in Exercise Physiology.
  5. Does anyone know the average RN salary working as a wellness coach ? Thank you
  6. I have been working in the medical field for a few years and I was very surprised to find the number of nurses and other healthcare workers that smoke. I found this statistic on a few different websites that I found interesting. "the number of registered nurses who smoked dropped from 11 percent in 2007 to 7 percent in 2011, the study found. That's an overall decrease of 36 percent, and nearly three times higher than the 13 percent decline in smoking among the general population during the same period."
  7. I'm currently in kent states (twinsburg) nursing program and love it. You have the option of taking summer classes to lighten the load but you will not graduate any sooner.
  8. I work as an EKG tech in a cardiac step down and CCU unit right now monitoring rythms / interpreting ongoing rythms. and communicating with cardiologosts, rn and rt's. I'm about a year away from getting my RN. Do you think working in cardiac rehab could be possible as a new grad ?with my experience and dual degrees? Thank you !!
  9. You'll be at a disadvantage being a new grad rn at tri c. Its not a good nursing school. They lost there accreditation. Even though they may have got it back recently it still is not a good program. If you want to work at a big hospital like the clinic, akron general, summa you need your bsn. An adn will get you a job at small hospitals.
  10. I would not advise going to tri c. They lost there accreditation. Its not a very reputable program in ohio. Try transferring to kent state or akron.
  11. I'm currently an Telemetry Tech at a hospital. No prior experience. It was a 3 month training program with a competetancy at the end. I'm also going to nursing school. Great experience !! 12 hr shifts btw
  12. Any exercise physiologists out there. ? I will soon have both degrees. (BS in ex phys and BSN) I want to combine them post RN licensure to work in cardiac rehab. Awesome area of nursing !!! Anyone else working in cardiac rehab ?
  13. Its a long term care speciality chain of hospitals across the united states.
  14. Does anyone work at one of the select speciality hospitals in the united states? If so ,what position do you hold and do you like it?
