the centers for disease control and prevention (cdc) is seeking comments on this new guideline that updates and expands the "1996 guideline for isolation precautions in hospitals" and applies to all health care, not just acute care, settings. you may wish to address your

concerns about what is missing (like placement and cleaning of pdas, keyboards, terminals, monitors) so this definitive directive can be helpful in your clinical setting.
