There have been multiple threads for FNPs regarding salary/cost of living etc, but not so for inpatient acute care NPs. I'd love to know what the range is for them as, as far as I know, being inpatient they are at the mercy of the institutions' rigid pay rates/scales and are not subject to bonuses for amount of patients seen like FNPs are. What can a new grad ACNP expect to earn and how might they tap into bonuses? Is a differential the only way to top up earnings? Would you say on average do acute NPs earn more than FNPs?
