Acute Dialysis Davita San Francisco salary- what to expect?

Specialties Urology

Hello, I have an interview with the hiring manager in Oakland, Ca. The position is in acute dialysis with Davita. The recruiter tells me over the phone that they can only offer 37 to 44 per hour. The recruiter also mentioned the "large bonuses" they give quarterly. She said they range from 1200 to 3000 dollars given out quarterly. Is this true?

So, what is the real deal? I thought acute dialysis nurses made 55 per hour in that area. I am an experienced ICU nurse but will come into the field with no dialysis experience. How much can I expect to make/ ask for? Also, I will be moving from LA to San Fran for the position if hired. Are they known for relocation assistance?

Any info would help, thanks!

Hi Clachr5, were you able to move in Bay area? I am a dialysis nurse here at SOCAL and me and my family are going to move up north in bay area. Can you tell me the transition? How do you like it so far? TIA

Hi rjgusa,

I have moved to the bay area. I did not accept the position in dialysis. The pay just wasn't enough to meet the needs of living in the bay area. I would definitely suggest getting into Kaiser for dialysis. Also, Sutter. Davita isn't the way to go. I like the bay area all in all and I'm back in critical care. Good luck!
