I'm experiencing a way different deployment than you had with the drawdown. We do 4 on 1 off. I'm on nights. My night off, I have to keep busy and stay out of my chu for the dayshift to sleep. I'm volunteering at the Red Cross on my nights off, it's a great place to hang out. That and the laundry room - which has good wifi reception! lol

Currently out on a small FOB in "Absurdistan". No days off; on duty 24/7, but have lots of down time.

I know that I have a nice cushy deployment. Thanks for reminding me! :)

But you army folks have it harder overall than us Air Force nurses. Thanks for working so hard!
