Achieve test prep?

Nursing Students Excelsior

I was considering attending achieve test prep, I was wondering if anyone had attended the school and had information? It almost seems too good to be true

In a nutshell, everyone posting is going to give you what works for them. Be mindful that time is money, it's going to cost money to complete a program faster than normal. Testing out of classes requires studying whether self-study or through a testing prep service. If you can study on your own....go for it, BUT if you need help, motivation to study, a test prep program will work. The College Network have so many negative reviews because of it's study module with no support, study at your own pace, and thousands of dollars. So, let's do the math, to complete a test prep program + college fees, testing fees...etc. would cost around $10,000-$15,000 dollars. A traditional ADN program would cost around the same, however will take longer and enrollment is yearly and competitive. You may spend a year just doing pre-requites then have to apply for admissions into the RN program and then two years in the RN program for 3 years total. Achieve Test Prep you can complete your BSN in three years, for just a few thousand dollars more. You are not paying full tuition rate for the classes, but for the testing fees. You would be not only saving time, but THOUSANDS of dollars. I have a BSN from Temple University and completed the traditional 4 year way at a total cost of $68,000 back then....Where was Achieve Test Prep back then...LOL! (Oh, Temple University did NOT accept any of my LPN credits)

SMH! Oh, so you lied to me again. What else were you lying about?

Excelsior College has a link on their website for Open Educational Resources that you can use for free, or very low cost, and they are listed by Excelsior under the specific Excel exam. They also have a catalog for "credit by exam" resources that list approved CLEP, DSST, and other credits. Their lists include references that their staff has reviewed as acceptable to their Excel exams. You DO NOT need to pay a test prep company for expensive learning programs and modules. Quite often, those test prep companies are providing you with inadequate or outdated information on the subjects studied. And they usually have contracts that are a nightmare, and they are very expensive. FREE "approved" resources include open education subjects from high-end universities. You may find a test prep company helpful on some subjects, but I encourage you to investigate the free resources available to you already so you can get you started on your path. One thing I can tell you is that going through a test prep company will get you there no faster than diversifying your learning resources to prepare for exams. And you won't pay nearly as much cash using what is already available to you for free.

I would not use achieve test prep. Tried to use them but they did not provide all the information about the program and they have a 72 hour withdrawal period. Tried to withdrawal and they took my deposit even though I didn't take a single class. $800 down the drain.

I registered with Achieve Test Prep. I need some advices please
