I don't know if this answers your questions but this was a program I was enrolled in and later dropped out of. I can't stress enough how much people need to examine every detail of the school they enroll in. This school was also sued a few years later.
Nursing students awarded $2.4 million settlement against Virginia Western Community College - WDBJ7
The answer = money. Maintaining ACEN accreditation is as expensive as heck. Many nursing programs are voluntarily dropping the ACEN accreditation and opting for CCNE accreditation, and some schools of nursing are choosing to become unaccredited altogether. What are some reasons that a school may voluntarily withdraw from being evaluated by the ACEN?

Hello everyone!
What are some reasons that a school may voluntarily withdraw from being evaluated by the ACEN?
Also, what would make it so a school would need a follow-up?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
