i'm in an a.d.n program. there have been rumors flying around about the school losing accreditation due to low nclex scores and the state pulling accreditation if the scores do not go up. my question is what will happen to the students if they do pull the accreditation? i still have another year left of school. i do not want to ask any of the teachers, i do not want to draw attention to myself, and i think it's a touchy subject.

I would go ahead and ask. This affects YOUR future, because you are in this, NOW. It is a legitimate question that needs to be answered. If your grades are decent, and are not a problem to the school, I don't see why you would not inquire. And, if they do pull the accreditation, it may not mean that you, personally will not pass NCLEX...just be sure to prepare for the exam all during your schooling. Make sure that you do practice NCLEX questions throughout the entire program. I used to do questions related to my current course of study all the time; eg: if I was studying OB, I answered NCLEX-styled OB questions from several CDs to see how much I was actually learning. Good luck!
Thanks for the reply. I hope it will not come to that, but some of us are wondering, we really do not want to draw attention to ourselves and even ask. We just wanted to know what would happen to our education? Could we finish, and still graduate?

my question is why are you afraid to ask, is you environment to hostile or what is the matter, also if you do not want to ask you school or teachers, ask the board of nurses in your state, they should no the answer and can help you guys

it's not hostile, but a lot of stuff is going on. i've been told by other students it's just best not to draw attention to yourself. i will try to contact the state and see if they can not answer. i was just wondering if anyone has experienced this before, and what was the outcome? there are rumors that the state is going to do an investigation and make recommendations to the school.
