I just found out that I was accepted to JHU for this fall! Will I be seeing anyone there?

Congrats!!! I am not quite ready to apply to nursing programs but JHU is my first choice and I pray that I get in. If you don't mind me asking what was your GPA? Is there anything special you did to make yourself more competitive? Good Luck:)
I have my chemistry degree and my GPA was a 3.3 from that (if I hadn't taken physical chemistry it would've been higher). This summer I'm taking 4 pre-reqs that I need. I know if you get a "C" in a pre-req the admissions committee will take another look at your application (if you had already been accepted and then got the "C").
Keep in mind they truly look at EVERYTHING that you've done so it's not all about the grades. If I were you, I would go to one of their open houses. They have one twice a year. I really learned a lot from it and was the only reason I applied for this fall this late. Good luck!
I will definitely have to attend one of the open houses. I am a student in Austin, TX and it would be great to actually visit the campus.

I graduated from JHU 3 years ago. It's great and you will love it. Diane Aschenbrenner is great in pharm, she's tough but she's smart. If you need any help or have any questions just ask. Just a helpful hint...save your careplans. Cutting and pasting will save you a lot of time. Good luck!!
Thanks for the advice!

Jen,
Thanks for the insight regarding the application considerations. I'm getting ready to submit an app for the ABSN/MSN program (May 2008) and was worried about my GPA being nowhere close to competitive...I'm also around a 3.3. I'm hoping and praying I do well on the GRE coming up in October and so far the admissions officers have been so great answering my questions and concerns via email. I'm not sure if I will have the cash to attend the October open house (coming out from SoCal), but I will if I can.
If the timely responses I've received from everyone at JHU are indicative of how hard everyone works for student success at JHUSON, I'm excited for you!
I hope you'll be able to go to the open house. I was extremely impressed with them that I didn't want to look at any other schools. Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine. Keep us updated!
