Accepted into CCC Nursing Program: Truman College

Hi all! I've started this thread for those of us who have gotten the good news and have been accepted to start the nursing program at Truman College in Fall 2012!

If you are still waiting to hear, I would suggest visiting the other thread I started for some helpful information, tips, and support!

Here's what I know so far:

• There WILL be clinicals in the first semester (6 hours)
  
• The classes will be scheduled via a lottery system
  
• We should be receiving a letter from Dr. Gurney in the near future that details what our next steps should be!

Was there another email sent re: orientation aside from the agenda flyer sent on Tuesday? I didn't see a website on the agenda.

I didn't see anything about registering for the orientation. I just know that attendance is mandatory and the morning cohort is done at a different time than the evening cohort.

Violet.78, I just picked self development because I couldn't find nursing, but I honestly don't think it matters that much. Also, for those who ordered their uniforms at that place on Elston, did you guys get any phone calls yet? I ordered mine on July, 5th and they told me it would take around 10-14 days. I called last week and they said my uniform is still not there yet. School is about to start so hopefully I will get mine soon... Also, they never sent us a new book list yet right?

endless_sti for your advice. i just picked up my uniform yesterday which i ordered on july 10th. i think you could call them, but i am positive they will call you at the beginning of next week. i heard that they have all uniforms shipped to the store already, but it takes some time to organize all the orders. when comes to the book list- nobody informed me yet about any changes. what i've been told is that we have to buy all"reqiured" textbooks. i've bought some, but not all. i decided to wait for the lecutre and hopefully the professor will clarify everything- what we really need.
