Acceptance!!

I got my acceptance letter in the mail for Christ Hospital School of Nursing (Carepoint Health School of Nursing)!!! I am starting in the Fall semester in the day division. Anyone else get accepted? Any current or former students have any advice?

Hii all I got accepted as well! To the evening division! Anyone else in evening? And if I transferred 27/30 credits and can start nursing 110 does that mean I can finish the program in less than 2 yrs? A bit confused about this cooperative program

I'm not too sure about how the cooperative program works either. I'm hoping that what you are implying is true though! I transferred a few credits myself and it would be great to finish the program in less than 2 years. I somehow think this is just wishful thinking though. Question: If we got accepted to Christ does this mean we also get accepted to NJCU nursing program? I think I might have heard that is the care or am I wrong? I would like to continue towards my BSN right after graduation.

I had the same concerns and asked my advisor. I was told that whether your prerequisites are finished or not, the nursing program is meant to be finished in 2 years (day division) and 3 years (evening division). As to the njcu joint admission program, I was told that we must talk to our advisors after everything is handed in and after orientation.

Oh wow so there is no way I can finish the nursing program in less than 3 yrs if I chose the evening division and I already completed all the college courses??

I'm not really sure about the evening program. I'm in the day division. But from the way the advisor said it, it seem pretty definite that it had to be 2 years for day and 3 years for evening. But you can always call and ask. ?

Thanks Vanessa! You have been very helpful!

Congrats! I got my acceptance letter for my school yesterday. I must admit I'm excited, but also scared to death as it will mean a lot of changes for me & my family.

I'm so excited as well! Are you in evening or day?

Hey everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your summer. I actually wanted to get some advice from you on paying for school. I got my pre reqs out the way thinking that nursing school would end up being way cheaper then $24,000. Uh, well apparently it's not. Can you give me any ideas on how the loan system works? Or anything else that may help?

Hello all! Congratulations on your acceptance into Carepoint school of nursing!! I also was accepted for the upcoming Class of 2016I will be in the evening division. I may have met some of you already during orientation or uniform fittings. As the days go by, my fear kicks in and I can tell you all I AM TERRIFIED ! As we all are. But if we made it this far let's keep it rolling and reach our goals of becoming RN's . I am new to this forum and have been reading posts/threads to find we all have this feeling of what is to come. let's stay positive and I want to thank all previous nursing students for sharing their experience and providing us with great advice.

oan I also have my prereqs and was hoping I did not have to do this entire "2 year " program but it has nothing to do with finishing your prereqs, as I was told, it's the way the nursing program was designed. So yess we all have to do the 2 years regardless of your pre reqs or previous degree.

best wishes to you all !! Enjoy your summer and see you soon!!

If you're done with all the pre-requisites, all you have to worry about are the nursing courses. NSG 110 (fall), 120 (spring), 210 (fall), 220 (spring), and 240 (summer I). You will finish in two years. I finished all my pre-requisites prior to coming into Carepoint and it gave me time to put all my focus into the nursing classes. Good luck, it's a tough program!
