Acceptance rates for nursing schools?

Anyone have any idea of the acceptance rates for Accelerated BSN programs? Vanderbilt & Columbia? I heard that some "lower ranked" smaller schools have a lower acceptances than some ivy leagues? Why is that? Is it true? (ex. I heard people getting rejected from Boston U and Belmont, but got accepted to Penn)

I attended the Columbia open house last year, and I swear I remember a figure like a third of applicants are accepted. The clinical nursing programs of the CUNY schools here (including community colleges) seem much tougher to get into by comparison. Saving $$ in NYC is a huge perk though.
