Hey there everyone my name is Tammy and here is my news:

YIPPPPPEEEEEEE I recieved my acceptance letter today for school.:balloons: And my birthday is on Friday so needless to say I am going to party party party. Because Lord knows in the fall I will be to busy to do anything. Just had to tell the whole world. So whole world you are hearing from me, a new nursing student!!!!!!:smiley_aa

congratulations.... it is the best feeling. I know....I received mine back in May. Now for the "fun" to begin in September.

What school and program did you get accepted to?

I am going to Vernon college (in Wichita Falls TX) for LVN but I am going to keep going until I have a bachelor degree. My husband is military and close to retirement and if I at least have my LVN licence I know I will be able to get a job any where we decide to move.

Oh and thanks for the congrats. I have been on pins and needles for weeks waiting for them to decide. They weren't going to send out any letters until after the end of May and I was out of school at the beginning of May and going crazy. I am not taking any classes during the summer it feels strange but I am going to enjoy this down time while I have it. LOL

CONGRATS!! I cried when I got my letter lol...I am starting my senior yr in the fall. Be prepared to end every part of ur social life because every waking minute will be spent studying lol. Good Luck!!! Jodi ~RN in '07~

I was going to wait and apply for the RN program but I am really glad I am going into the LVN first. I here everyone say why go that route go for the RN its more money. But I feel for me personally it will make me a better nurse all the way around. Once I am a RN I will appreciate everyone working with me because I will have walked in their shoes literally. I have been taking all the pre-reqs for the RN classes so I will not have the same class load as some of my other classmates. I have been in school for the last 3 semesters straight I am looking forward to this summer off and all the hard work to come. It would be great to stay in touch with each other and encourage each other along the way. But I know how hectic school can be but lets try and be there for each other. I am very lucky that my husband is behind me 100% and is going to take care of the house and kids so I can put all my concentration into school. So if anyone out there needs some support I am here for you. Good Luck all you other nursing students. That sounds so good. Nursing Student LOL
