I look at it from a financial standpoint. If you plan to work 20 hrs/wk instead of 40 hrs/wk for 2 yrs in the traditional program, it would equal no work for 1 yr in the accelerated program plus starting your RN job 1 yr sooner which, depending on the difference between your current salary and RN salary, could negate the loss of your income for the year.

I need advice! My school offers 2 nursing programs. One for without a prior degree that is 2 years long and is a slower pace and I will be able to work more hours. It is also 10 mins away from my house. They also have a program for people with a prior degree which I have in biology that is 1 year long but it is 30 miles one way to campus. It is a much faster pace and I can't work that much. I need to work to afford gas and other necessaries. What would you do?
same cost same degree same university just different location and lengths.
