Accelerated BSN programs in Indiana

Published

I am graduating from DePauw this year with a Kinesiology degree and I want to get into an accelerated BSN program and stay in Indiana. I've looked into IUPUI and Marian and have heard a lot about their programs, but I haven't heard much about Purdue's accelerated BSN program. Has anyone been through it or know what their program is like? Also, how hard is it to have a small part-time job while going through an accelerated program in order to afford an apartment if I need to live on campus?

Hi,

Sorry I can't help you much with Purdue's nursing programs, except that I've heard they are very good overall.

I did want to tell you that Indiana Weslyan is starting it's very first class of an accelerated BSN program in Fall 2007. I have talked with the coordinator (Karen something. I've slept since then, sorry!) of the program & it sounds like it will be great. I'm sure if you call the nursing office in Marion, they can direct you to the person you need to speak with.

DePauw is an excellent school, so if your grades are good you probably won't have much problem getting accepted somewhere.

Good luck,

Heather

I am in my last year of Ball State's fast track BSN program and love it. I have two classmates that went to Purdue for their first degree, but didn't go there for the fast track BSN, and I can't remember why. I'll see them again when classes start on the 21st. Do you want me to ask?
