Accelerated BSN- Keiser University- Ft Lauderdale - Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!

I am applying online to Keiser's Ft lauderdale campus Accelerated BSN starting 9/2/2019.

Unfortunately, there is barely any info on the application process, like, when is the deadline?!?!

Should I pay the application fee without the school receiving my transcripts? Is there an interview, or personal statement? What are the next steps after pressing submit? I want to get started as soon as possible and I want to know its not too late to apply. When I called, all they wanted to do was schedule an appointment for a tour which I would surely do if I had an afternoon to spare but I don't. SOS please help. Thanks!

I will be attending Keiser's ABSN at another campus starting in May. I would suggest that you make the time to go speak to them. They will let you fill out the application while you are there. There will be a test (wonderlic), a writing assignment and an interview. (but not all at that moment) You will also need letters of recommendation. There is no deadline. I believe there are a couple start times per year, at least at my campus, so it would depend on how many are enrolled as to when you can start. I hope this helps.

Hi alaverde24. They do not have adequate information readily available regarding the application process, so I will spare you the headaches I got from banging my head against the wall multiple times and give you the rundown on what you need to do.

1. Talk to an admissions counselor directly.

2. Get 3 letters of recommendation.

3. Get your transcripts sent to the University.

4. Pay the $55

5. If you got below a 3.0 on your first Bachelors, you will need to take the Wonderlic test.

If you get all of that done successfully, you get an interview and you get placed on the waiting list, for fall 2019 or January 2020, depending on how quickly you get everything else done. Note that they will not consider your application if you have any prereqs still in progress. Best of luck to you; I hope we both get in for the fall!

Do you recommend taking the pre-reqs with them?

Because I also want to start but on the RN program that starts August 2020, and the admissions counselor tells me that if I don’t take the 4 pre-reqs with them I won’t be on the waiting list.

I feel like all they want is my money!!!

I would finish your prereqs elsewhere then apply. I applied for fall 2019 at the Sarasota campus in April and was in the middle of my last prereqs my community college and was able to get in the fall ABSN cohort no problem. Waiting is better than spending an extra 10k on a degree. They are very expensive.

Hi, How is the program thus far? Any information that you share would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to get into the May 2020 class. Thank you.

Hi it’s going great so far. Like any nursing school it has its pros and cons, but overall I’m happy with it. My instructors are all great, my clinicals have been at a great hospital on awesome units, and the course load is heavy but doable. First semester was six classes, but it’s reasonably paced and nearly impossible to procrastinate. I don’t return till next week but to my knowledge everyone passed the first semester in my cohort. If you have any more specific questions I can certainly try to answer them for you.

It’s great to hear that overall, the program is good because I was a little skeptical at first. If it’s okay with you, I like to inbox you with my other questions. Thanks!
