Hey Everyone!!...I'm brand new to this board :) ....

I currently have my BA in English and I'm in the process of fulfilling my prereq's to get into an accelerated BSN program. Question: I had about a 3.2 in undergrad. I currently have A's in my prereq's, but was wondering what schools would accept a 3.3?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Well first of all some schools look at GPA but focus mainly on your sciences like A&P and Micro. These 2 are VERY VERY important. If you have good grades in your sciences and with a 3.2 GPA you have good chances. I applied at the University of Miami and at Barry University with a 3.0 and I got into both. You can also apply at FIU, FAU, NOVA South eastern University. It also depends where you're from. These schools are in Florida, by Miami. Hope this helps.

I had a 3.2 for two BS engineering degrees, but then 4.0 for all my prereq's (nutri., anat., phys., micro, dev. psy.) and had already studied two semesters with a 3.5 average at a diploma nursing school when I applied to VCU in Richmond VA. They must have favored by prereq. gpa and the fact I was already studying Nursing 'cause they indicated they were quite fussy about the GPA requirement. Go for it. Shoot for all A's in the prereq.'s. Get some experience that's indicates you are serious.

good luck

Mike
