Accelerated Bachelors Program at Stony Brook U: Anyone hear back yet?

So, I have recently applied to the Accelerated Nursing Program at Stony Brook University, and as far as the website says, I should have heard something by now....I mean anything would be better than the waiting....Has anyone heard back with a decision yet for this coming summer? I am curious to know if they started telling anyone, since I was told I would hear something by now. Please, let me know! Also, does anyone know the number of students they accept into the program each year? Just wondering :)

I am also waiting to hear. They told me that they will be done notifying everyone the beginning of January. I'm dying to find out. have you heard yet?

Word is that decisions won't be disseminated until at least Jan 21 (2 weeks!!) and that letters are going out in February (note that these dates are much later than in prior years and is likely due to an increase in applications to be reviewed). If I recall correctly, approximately 60 students are accepted for the summer class. I hope that's right, unless I am confusing that number with another school to which I applied.

OMG I'm waiting patiently myself... I called a few times, and the last time they informed me that we should get notification thru SOLAR as well as in the mail the last week of January .. :)

I don't believe SOLAR notifies you outright that you were accepted, waitlisted or denied per se. Last year, people who were eventually accepted noticed extra content added on their SOLAR screens before receiving the letter in the mail, content referring to new student, submitting a deposit, etc. But best to hang on to your seat until the hardcopy letter arrives in the mail before scheduling the celebration party :D

Yes the said we would get an email indicating the status of the appl thru SOLAR.. But yes I totally agree with you about waiting for the hard copy in the mail...The suspense is killing me though..:)

Hmm, for some odd reason I never realized that SOLAR itself has email .... :D Now you're going to make me check and see where that is, breaking my 2-month streak of not checking ... Argh! :D

Ack!!! Too late :p ... I checked SOLAR about 15 minutes ago. I just assumed you were talking about the message center that is on the left side of the screen.
