accelarated (or non accelerated) online second degree nursing programs?

I am looking and looking and looking to try and find one that I could do that wouldn't be too terribly far. I am getting annoyed that they have this in other states, but can't find anything in my state. I'd be willing to do a traditional non accelerated program as well. I am in Michigan. I can see they have one in Indiana and in Wisconsin. I see some in Florida and California. It's making me mad that there isn't an option to do this here that I can find. Because I have kids (and a lot of them) I really need a non traditional school to complete this. I have been in nursing school before. I can handle the classes and clinicals. I made As in both. My problem is paying for childcare when the schedules all require stupid hours. My local college for example has classes from 8-12 or 1-5 both of which require me to get either before school or after school child care for 4 kids. Plus clinicals are all early hours which is also next to impossible for me to arrange childcare. I can easily do nights and weekends or even 2 weeks straight 60 hour weeks of clinicals because I'd only be paying for 2 weeks of childcare verses 16 weeks. I've found a few programs like this, but none in my area. Anyhow, figured I'd post this here and see if anyone knew any programs like this. I am willing to wait on a wait list as well as I'm not necessarily in a huge hurry, but I'd just like to have some type of plan in place for the future. Any programs in Michigan or ones that allow you to commute that do clinicals in 1-2 week stints or weekends verses non traditional hours. I could possibly consider programs in Indiana or Illinois as I am not too terribly far from the state line.

The best way to find nursing programs in the states you wish is to contact the board of nursing and find accredited schools accepted by those states.

As far as when you go to clinicals and/or the didactic portion, you hours are set according to the program. If you have a childcare problem, you might consider offering free room to a nursing student in exchange for childcare when you must be in class or clinical.
