Hi y'all!
I know it's early but I searched for a spring 15 thread and nothing came up, so...
I'm sitting for the HESI in 11 days, and applying in July for the Spring '15 program. This is my first application to the program. It looks like at the end of the year the program will be changing again, and applicants will apply a year in advance! I really don't expect to get in the first time, but stranger things have happened and it never hurts to hope!
Anyone else out there? I'd sure like to try to calm some of the nervousness!

Hi everyone; I just wanted to join in on the conversation. Here is my story: I applied the first time to start this fall '14. I got 51.18 points. I did not get accepted at first, but I guess a lot of students deferred, or went to other schools, so out of the blue, a month after I got rejected, I got an acceptance letter. So just to let u guys know, it is possible to get accepted at 51 points if it is your first time applying, because I think 1st time applicants are priority over re-applicants (if re-applicants do not have a higher score than first time applicants) -For example if a 1st time applicant and a re-appplicant both have 51 points, they will take the 1st time applicant, not the re-applicant; I hope this makes sense.:)
The bad thing for me was that I deferred because I did not have any money to start this fall '14; so my invitation went to somebody else; -bless that person whoever it was. I re-applied for the second time for Spring '15, and got 60.06 points. I am hoping to get accepted and I'll let u guys know. Thank u guys for sharing, and we'll keep each other posted.
Honeyrose29, hi; I got my letter today too. I am very happy. Which campus will you pick? I think I might pick Brack, but I am not sure; I am waiting for advice from someone who started the program this fall.
And if anyone else has not gotten a letter yet, don't loose hope. I got rejected at first last time, and then 1 month later, I got accepted (but deferred).
Anxiously waiting for a letter whether it's an acceptance or denial. It's my first application with all pre reqs completed and I'm currently taking 2 co-reqs. I don't expect to get in the first round but it would be fantastic!!
Does anyone know how many "rounds" of emails they usually have? Is it done alphabetically or strictly on points? I hate how application updates are posted on Fridays, very close to 5 pm when everyone is leaving for the weekend.... Ugh!
Good luck to everyone!!
Hi Motherof2!
The first round of acceptance letters was sent this past Friday afternoon, but there will be another round later on, after everyone accepts, declines, or defers. The deadline for that is 10/22, so you can probably start watching again after that. They go strictly on points and they will continue to send letters until all spots are accepted. If it were me, I'd go ahead and get my reapplication in, since the new period for Fall of 15 only runs from Oct 2-Nov 15.
I wasn't expecting to get in, but I did. I have a 4.0 GPA on all of my pre-reqs and all but one co-req (it's now completed this semester, 1st 8 week course). I also did well on my HESI.
The rankings are supposed to be sent out this Thursday, the 16th. I'm curious to see my placement. I'm still in disbelief that they let me in on my first application! Crossing my fingers for you!
Thanks honeyrose29! I actually reapplied and handed in my application for the next cycle, Fall 2015, this past Tuesday. Great minds think alike
I appreciate you sharing info regarding the deadline for someone to accept or defer an application. Hopefully by the end of October we'll have an absolute answer.
Congratulations everyone! I also got in, and am shocked that I got in on my first round. My theory is that lots of nursing hopefuls are going straight to BSNs and ACC is not a backlogged as usual. Whatever the reason, hooray!
My requests were 1 - EVC, 2 - CEC, 3 - RRC. Here's hoping we get the placements we want :)

I'm at 52 points, first application. I am taking RNSG 1105 right now and I do not even remotely expect to be accepted this time. My reapplication will be 62 points as I've completed my last co-req and skills, along with the extra points for reapplying. I currently carry a 4.0 GPA overall. I am also applying to Texas State, and if I am accepted into their fall 2015 program, I will choose to go there since I plan on getting my bachelor's anyway. I'd just like to get my letter, even if it is a denial!
