ABSN Student, graduating May 09, first Nursing interview

Hi all,

I graduate in May 2009 with my ABSN degree in nursing. I can't wait. Anyways, I'm scheduled to go for my first nursing interview on February 24th. I'm just looking for some pointers as to what types of questions are generally asked of new grads, or on any nursing interview...particularly those that may sort of be brain stumpers. I mean, I would like to be able to prepare before the interview to present myself in the best way possible! Any suggestions, comments, sample questions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Lauren ;)

What are your strengths?

What are your weaknesses?

Why do you want to be a nurse?

Why do you want to work for us?

Why did you switch to nursing from your previous career?

Also, it's important to do your homework with regards to the area you're interviewing. For example, do they conduct research that you're interested in; if so, then talk about it.
