Hi! I applied back when it first opened. The last day was Jan 15 and it said around 8 weeks people will start to know if they’re accepted or not. I have a 3.6 undergrad and a 3.0 sciences, BA Human Development with Health Services. Finishing micro now. Experience volunteering 250+ hours hospice/hospital. I know someone in this program who graduates this spring, they always look tired, lol, but it’s rewarding. ?
Hey!! I applied as well! I believe my undergrad is around a 3.45 and my science is a 3.8. My BS is Health Education and Behavior. I do not have any more classes to take at this time. I have been a surgical technician for 4 years, and a veterinary surgical technician for 3 years. I am currently an ophthalmic technician and oculoplastic surgical technician. I am also a very non-traditional applier. I am an Army Veteran, and single mommy of 4. I did things backwards. I had children then put myself through school while working full time (speaking of tired but rewarding)!

I decided to create a thread for the ABSN MUSC FAll 2019 cohort. Has anyone applied yet? After reading some of the threads from previous years, it seems that MUSC requires a minimum GPA of 3.8 on the science prerequisites. Is this true? My undergraduate GPA is 3.1 and my graduate is GPA is 3.1 (Hey! i'm consistent...lol). Currently enrolled in half my science prereqs with a 3.5 at the moment. Lord help me!!! I also have over 10 years of experience as a social worker. Currently completing the AmeriCorps program and doing some screening for a diabetes prevention program. I'm definitely not the traditional student. Wondering if anyone has any feedback on this program or older people changing careers before it's too late!
