Hello,
I know the Accelerated program at Concordia University in Portland is still fairly new. I was wondering if anyone knew anyone who graduated from this program and had a hard time finding a job because it is not OCNE accredited?
I am trying to decided whether I should wait a year and apply to Linfield or reapply to OHSU and work as a CNA for that year or just start the Concordia program this fall. Any information would be helpful.
Thank you!

I'm in it now, finishing up my first semester. No one has graduated from the program yet, there are only two cohorts, and the first cohort is in their second out of four semesters. It is CCNE accredited, so you shouldn't have trouble finding a job. So far I'd say there are a lot of kinks to work out with the program itself, but I'm happy with it. I was stressed and overwhelmed beyond belief for the first couple of months but I feel like I've gotten the hang of things. I recommend it, but I'd also recommend being confident in your CNA skills and having some experience before starting the program (they only require you to have taken the CNA course). I felt pretty far behind at first not having any actual experience working as a CNA, just two weeks of clinicals.

I am interviewing for program tomorrow-currently in open house and no one else seems to be on allnurses....
anywho.... I chose to apply here because of flexible schedule and affordability. They were able to increase their cohort size to 48 per start group because of their previous NCLEX pass rates.
